Operational Activities

Cabotage
There are no agreements with the UK, therefore a ECMT Authorisation is required and must be obtained prior to leaving the UK. Cabotage is prohibited.

Dangerous Goods
Bosnia & Herzegovina are party to ADR, therefore ADR requirements will apply.

Abnormal Loads
Special authorisation must be obtained if vehicles/loads exceed maximum permitted weights and dimensions, a Police escort is mandatory. For help and assistance, visit the Federal Ministry of Transport website www.fbihvlada.gov.ba

Movement Restrictions
There are no driving restrictions on public holidays or weekends.

Road, Tunnel & Bridge Tolls
None applicable that we are aware of.

Customs
TIR Carnets are accepted. Certificate of origin of goods, plus standard multilateral Bill of Lading.

Vehicle Requirements

Documentation
Green Card required, plus original vehicle registration docs. A GB plate must be fitted to rear of vehicle/trailer.

Height 4 metres
Width 2.5 metres (Fridges 2.6 metres)
Length Artic 16.5 metres
Road Train 18.35 metres
There are also other maximum lengths on vehicles and trailers according to the number of axles

Safety Equipment
It is compulsory to carry snow chains between 15 November and 15 April, also recognised winter tyres should be fitted. It is advisable to carry a shovel.

Driver Requirements

Legal Documents
Full passport required plus visa which must be obtained prior to departure. It is advisable to carry an International driving permit, letter from employer giving driver permission to drive vehicle - Attestation letter and form.
