Cabotage
UK operators may carry loads to, from or through the country. A Bi-Lateral agreement was signed between Moldova and the UK on
15 October 1996. Cabotage is currently not permitted.

Dangerous Goods
Moldova is party to ADR. It is essential that fully completed ADR documentation is prepared for the movement of dangerous goods.
Abnormal Loads
For indivisible loads, a special authorisation must be requested from ANTA I.P. (Moldavian Agency of International Automobile Transport)

Fees are applicable for all goods vehicles exceeding the maximum permissable weights (see below). There are also fees levied for any
abnormal load vehicle requiring an escort vehicle based upon each kilometre travelled.
Taxation
Fuel in the 'running tank(s)' can be imported duty free.
Customs
TIR Carnets are accepted for vehicles crossing Moldova. CMR notes are required.
Movement Restrictions
There are no driving restrictions throughout the Road network for goods vehicles at weekends or public holidays.
Road Tolls
There are no tolled roads within Moldova. However, a Road Tax is payable for all commercial vehicles as a single entry tax and a
charge per kilometre travelled. Road taxation is based upon vehicle weight.
Bridge and Tunnel Tolls
There are no bridge or tunnel tolls that we are aware of.

Documentation
Green Card required, plus original vehicle registration docs. A GB plate must be fitted to rear of vehicle/trailer. Insurance should also be
purchased upon entry into the country.

There is no specific legislation in Moldova concerning the use of snow chains or winter tyres, however, we suggest that snow chains are
carried during the winter months and would advise the following to be carried and/or observed at all times

Driver Requirements
Legal Documents
Full passport and Visa requiredrequired. International driving licence in required. Letter from employer giving driver permission to drive
