Best-Log UK - Supporting Steve Keary in his quest to help others

3 February 2012

The Transport Industry has always attracted a criticism in some form or another, but the industry as a whole has a big heart and will always support worthy causes worldwide. However, when a cause is local to you and involves those from within, it becomes personal, such is the case with Steve Keary and the British Heart Foundation.

"I've known Steve for the past five years in both a business and personal capacity", says Chris Shelford, UK Operations Director of Best Log. "As a company, we've always supported local causes and to see Steve's enthusiasm for his cause grow and his strength alongside is nothing but admirable. To be in a position to help such a worthy cause and watch Steve's development has been a memorable journey which I shall reflect upon for many years, and I am more than pleased to offer our support in his endeavour."

Here's Steve's story.

Just Giving - Click here and support Steve - Donate now. My name is Steve Keary. On April the 15th 2012, I'll be taking part in the Brighton Marathon to raise money for The British Heart Foundation.

In July 2008, my Dad, a fit and healthy 62 yr old passed away very suddenly from a heart attack.

This is my way of giving something back in memory of a man who gave me so much.

Brighton was the City where I was born and grew up and will always be my home wherever I am, so its seems right that this is where I'll run.

I know that financially things are hard for us all at the moment but please give as little or as much as you can spare. Every penny will make every mile covered during training and the 26 miles on the day worthwhile.

If you know people who would like to help support this worthwhile charity then please pass my site details to them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the British Heart Foundation and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you

Steve

British Heart Foundation If you feel able to help and support Steve, please click on the Just Giving image above, you'll also be helping thousands of others in the UK.

Your support will help the British Heart Foundation's research into congenital heart disease and looking at how genetic mistakes stop the heart developing correctly early in our lives. This research will have a significant benefit to the children of tomorrow as well as all of those who suffer from congenital heart problems today. To find out more, visit www.bhf.org.uk
